The band sets up at 7:30. The lights drop at 8. For the next few hours, the room belongs to the music.
The Weekly Lineup
Music booker Ruby Okafor brings in working players from across the region. She books for feel, not volume. You hear the brushes on the snare and still hear the person across from you.
Thursday
The Lena Harte Trio, our house residency since 2021. Standards, ballads, and a few surprises.
Friday
rotating quartets and vocalists. Swing, bebop, and soul jazz.
Saturday
featured artists and late sets. The 10 pm set runs long when the room asks for it.
Sunday
solo piano from 6 to 9 pm. No cover.
Sets and Cover
Sets start at 8 and 10 pm, Thursday through Saturday. Cover is $10 per person on Friday and Saturday, and every dollar goes to the musicians. Thursday has no cover. Seats near the stage go first, so book ahead.
Room Etiquette
Talk low during sets. Keep phones silent. Short video clips are fine, flash is not. Applause after solos is always welcome. The band feeds off the room.
